A) Shoulder width - 18½ inches
B) Pit to pit - 21 inches
C) Nape to hem - 31 inches
D) Pit to cuff - 17 inches
E) Shoulder to cuff - 25 inches
The jacket sports three pockets to the front, one of which is a handkerchief pocket and two inside. It is double vented and all original labels are insitu. There are two leather buttons to the front and one on each cuff. The sage green lining is made from 100% viscose.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, however, PLEASE NOTE that there is some wear to the buttons, but these could easily be replaced. There is also some fading to the lining at the bottom and upper back but this is not seen when worn and is commensurate with age.
PROVENANCE:-
This jacket was originally owned by an ex-RAF serviceman who was a member of XI Squadron. The squadron is now based at Coningsby, Lincolnshire and had previously been at Binbrook. This brave man was awarded the Burma Star in recognition of his service in WW2.
