Stunningly beautiful vintage 1960s Great Gatsby, Art Deco style simulated pearl and clear rhinestone bridal necklace by Pompadour. This stunning necklace comprises three strands of beautiful high quality graduated cream glass simulated pearls, secured by a spectacular Art Deco style clear rhinestone box clasp. The box clasp, which doubles as a focal pendant, is worn to the side and is encrusted with faceted octagonal and round clear claw set rhinestones which surround a larger central oval faceted clear rhinestone. The stones are claw set in silver tone metal.
The shortest strand of pearls measures approximately 17.5 inches (44.5cms) in length, including the clasp, which measures approximately 1.25 x 1 inch (3.5cms x 3cms) in size.
This necklace is in very good vintage condition, with all the rhinestones nice and sparkly. PLEASE NOTE that a few of the pearls nearest the clasp have lost some of their nacre, as is befitting a vintage necklace of this age. However, I do not feel that this detracts from the overall beauty of the piece.
This exquisite vintage necklace would make the perfect accessory to your Great Gatsby, Art Deco or Downton Abbey style wedding gown. It would also be perfect as a Mother of the Bride accessory.
