Fabulous vintage 1950s two strand glass simulated pearl choker necklace. This choker necklace is made from two strands of lustrous cream glass simulated pearls which are secured by a gorgeous double ended oval box clasp which is encrusted with round clear rhinestones which surround a central aqua turquoise faceted marquise rhinestone.
The shortest strand of pearls measures approximately 16.5 inches (42cms) in length, including the box clasp, which measures approximately 1.25" x 1" (3cms x 2.5cms) in size. The stones are set in silver tone metal.
This unusual vintage piece is in good condition, however, PLEASE NOTE that the necklace has been restrung in order to remove some damaged pearls. The clear stones have dulled slightly due to age, but this does not detract from the beauty of the piece as it adds a rather attractive opalescent quality. The beautiful central aqua marquise stone has, unfortunately, got some scuffing and scratching down one side, which I have tried to show in the item photos.
The perfect accompaniment to your 1950s style bridal ensemble or aqua/turquoise themed wedding. It would also make a fantastic piece of cocktail jewelry.
