Unusual large vintage 1970s necklace with matching earrings. The necklace is made from a single strand of faux haematite metallic beads from which is strung five large glass faceted teardrop and octagonal open backed claw set rhinestones. The rhinestones are set in matching metal to the faux haematite beads.
The necklace measures approximately 16 inches (40.5 cms) in length, the central rhinestone swag measuring 2.5 inches (6 cms.) It is secured by a spring ring clasp.
The necklace comes with a similar pair of open backed octagonal claw set rhinestone earrings for pierced ears. The rhinestones are set in silver tone metal and whilst very similar, are not an exact match. The earrings have been surgically cleaned for the purpose of health and hygiene.
This very unusual set would be ideal for wearing to funeral and would suit any age group.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to their vintage age, there are some fine surface scratches to the rhinestones. However, these are barely noticeable when worn.
