Absolutely stunning 1950s two tone bridal necklace comprising small round pale amethyst claw set rhinestones and large purple round faceted and baguette claw set rhinestones in a gold tone metal. The centrepiece of this choker necklace is raised, giving it a more chunky and substantial feel.
This magnificent bridal choker necklace measures approximately 16 inches (40.5 cms) in length, the central swag measuring approximately 4 inches (10cms) in width. The central pendant with tassels measures approximately 2.5 inches (6.5cms) in lenght. The necklace is secured by a simple fold over clasp which houses three tiny pale amethyst rhinestones. There is also a fine safety chain for added security, but this can be removed if required. Please choose which option you prefer from the drop down menu when ordering.
The design of this piece has an Art Deco look about it and the purple stones are very rich in colour, not dissimilar to a Cadburys chocolate wrapper. The dangly elements of the centrepiece are very much in the Art Deco mold, as are the baguette rhinestones. It is in immaculate condition, with all the sparkly stones present and secure in their claw settings. The gold tone backing is also in excellent condition.
This is truly a superior vintage piece, which has a very nice weight to it. It would make a spectacular wedding accessory, but would be equally suitable for parties and red carpet affairs.
